Heli-ski guide, Clark FyansClark Fyans, a lead guide for CPG, has been working as a international big mountain guide for the past 7 years. He began his skiing and climbing career while growing up in Salt Lake City, UT at the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. He became passionate about the mountains at an early age, skiing by 3, and climbing by 9. He worked on Pro Patrol/ Snow Safety Teams in both Utah and Alaska before joining CPG. Chasing the winter to the southern hemisphere every year, he also works as a lead heli-guide in Chile for Valle Nevado.  He is a Professional Member of the American Avalanche Association and received his EMT and Blaster’s Licence in 1997.

Clark has made a name for himself in the mountaineering world. Since 2001, he has worked as a Lead Guide for Mountain Trip, an international mountaineering company based in Alaska. He has led numerous climbing expeditions to the summits of high-altitude mountains in Antarctica, South America, Indonesia, not to mention the 12 expeditions (9 summits) on our local big mountain, Mt. McKinley/ Denali. He was awarded the Denali Pro Award/ Mountaineer of the Year by the National Park Service in 2005 for his key role responding to a tragic accident. Future expeditions include Everest and a unique ski expedition on Denali.

Guests find Clark very passionate about his work, always contributing to their overall experience. They often return to enjoy skiing and climbing with him. He spends his time off living in Mexico practicing Spanish, playing his guitar and searching for waves… always with a smile!
