Jim Conway is the Lead Guide for CPG's Girdwood Operation. He has made a name for himself in the ski and snowboard safety industry.  Jim  served as the primary guide and safety coordinator for Teton Gravity Research  for over a decade, opening and evaluating previously untouched terrain all over the world. Jim arguably has more on-snow guiding experience than any guide in the industry. Conway writes avalanche safety lessons and protocol for many non-profit avalanche organizations such as the Utah Avalanche Center and for avalanche equipment companies such as BCA.  Conway has written a number of interactive avalanche lessons and produces the avalanche safety videos found as extra features on Teton Gravity Research DVDs and videos distributed by BCA. 

Jim regularly assists the US Marine Corps in their Hazard Assessment and Training programs.
