Jim Conway has made a name for himself in the ski and snowboard safety industry.  When the top end athletes of Teton Gravity Research need someone to keep them alive, Jim is the man they call.  Jim  serves as the primary guide and safety coordinator for Teton Gravity Research.   TGR uses Jim primarily when they come to ski the big mountains of Alaska and when they want to approach previously un-skied terrain.  Conway writes avalanche safety lessons and protocol for many non-profit avalanche organizations such as the Utah Avalanche Center and for avalanche equipment companies such as BCA.  Conway has written a number of interactive avalanche lessons and produces the avalanche safety videos found as extra features on Teton Gravity Research DVDs and videos distributed by BCA.
