CPG is not just all about skiing – one third of CPG’s guests are snowboarders, and we have the guide staff to deliver an unforgettable day of Heli-Boarding. Many of our guides snowboard as well as ski, and whether they are riding or skiing they will find the type of terrain that you are looking for. We have years of experience guiding snowboarders, including professionals and film crews, expert adventurers, and strong intermediate riders. The Chugach Mountains are littered with natural terrain park features, and offer a plethora of traverse-free runs. Boarders will likely be grouped together based on ability and terrain aspirations.
We have a broad range of Nitro snowboard equipment available for different terrain and conditions, so no matter what, we make sure guests are on gear that will keep them ripping all day long. We have a list of board options on our demo page.
A day of riding will begin with a safety briefing at the Hotel Alyeska, followed by practical equipment training. We supply all safety equipment including airbag backpack, beacons, harnesses, shovels, and probes. Guests may use their own equipment if preferred and approved by CPG’s guide staff.
Our heli-boarding days can begin as early as 9 A.M. after the safety briefing, with a pick-up from the Hotel Alyeska. We provide lunch, bottled water, snacks, extra safety gear and equipment. Lunch includes a selection of gourmet sandwiches, hot soup, dessert, and hot drinks. Our guests typically arrive back at the hotel between 4-8pm depending upon the specifics of the day.
